I’m Takanori Ishii, a Judo Mastermind dedicated to transforming the sport through intelligence and strategy. Since 2005, I’ve served Japan’s National Judo Team, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge science. As the head of data and video analysis system development, I pioneered scientific training strategies that contributed to 20 Olympic and 83 World Championship gold medals.
My roles as Judo Performance Director and strategic advisor to the head coach shaped the team’s success, while my long-term athlete development plan for the All Japan Judo Federation built a foundation for future champions. Beyond the mat, I’ve led in academia and a medical vocational school, and today, I mentor the national team’s head coach to nurture the next generation of leaders.
Through this blog, Judo Intelligence, I aim to empower judo enthusiasts worldwide with accurate, science-backed insights and critical strategies. Whether you’re a competitor, coach, or fan, my mission is to reduce uncertainty and elevate your judo journey with actionable intelligence.
